You must use your real name and provide evidence of your claims before I will investigate your story. Anonymous and/or unsupported submissions will not be accepted or published. I assure you that your identity will not be released without your consent.*
NO FREE ADVERTISING
I do not wish to inadvertently provide free advertising to any individuals or groups that may be dangerous. Identifying features may be redacted prior to publication which includes: company or individual names, dates, locations, 3rd party details, products, classes, etc. Every effort will be made to ensure your safety and privacy. However, I assume no liability for any and all incidents that ensue should individuals whose stories were submitted anonymously become unintentionally known or recognized.
LIBEL SUITS
Sometimes the letters and stories I use will be from one individual and sometimes I may use multiple stories from multiple sources to build a "Dear Hope" topic if there is a peculiar or recurrent theme. Just because you think you recognize someone or something doesn't mean you do.
That being said, if you wish to ask that a post be removed because you think it is about you, be prepared to provide proof that it is specifically about you or your organisation. If it is determined that the claims are in fact about you, your information may be turned over to local authorities* and/or the media, so it may be wise not drawing attention to yourself by claiming ownership of something that may un fact incriminate you.

I will not release the names or identifying details of my sources to the media without their express written consent. If you would like to speak to the writer or writers of any of these letters or stories, I will contact my source and have them contact you directly. I assume no liability for any stories or legal action that may arise as the result of my sources choosing to talk to the media.
